What is Trofolastin Scar Reduction Dressing?
Trofolastín is a dressing for the reduction of recent or old hypertrophic scars and keloids. It can also be used for the prevention of hypertrophic scars or keloids. At the same time it acts on the scars, protecting them from solar radiation. A scar is the natural result of a wound healing process.
How it works
It is a polyurethane dressing consisting of two layers:
- Outer layer: A microporous polyurethane membrane. Does not contain latex.
- Inner layer: Acrylic adhesive that facilitates its fixation on the skin. Does not contain active ingredients.
Physical mechanism that increases pressure on the scar and modifies moisture under the dressing.
Benefits
- Reduce: Hypertrophic scars or keloids. Can be used for the reduction of recent or old scars, maximum 2 years old.
- Prevent: The formation of hypertrophic scars in new scars. It is recommended to start 15 days after the last scab falls off.

How to apply

- Step 5: After seven days or if edges peel off, lift a corner and gently pull parallel to the skin.
